Grasp the basics of cyanotype printing in this beginner-friendly workshop. Prepare light-sensitive chemicals for printmaking and create dynamic compositions with everyday objects. Use sunscreen to brush on painterly marks, evoking the soft gradients and expressive strokes of watercolour. Expose your printing paper to ultraviolent (UV) rays and reveal striking silhouettes in vivid hues of blue.
Recommended for ages 12 and above.
Participants are encouraged to bring objects with interesting cut-out patterns—such as lace, mesh or leaves—for this workshop.
