STPI Open House 2019: A Whimsical World

SAVE THE DATE | This Open House, we are inspired by the imaginative world of Takashi Murakami and his cast of unique characters. Let your creative juices flow through the various print and papermaking demonstrations and workshops, where you get to bring your own imaginary characters to life!


Get an exclusive insight into what goes on behind the scenes at STPI’s Creative Workshop. You can discover and try your hand at a range of print and papermaking techniques under the guidance of STPI’s team of expert print and papermakers. From lithography to screenprinting to shaping pulp, STPI Open House presents an exciting opportunity to experience the processes behind the making of print and paper works of art.


Join a guided tour to explore Murakami’s remarkable range of new works in the Gallery, and enjoy a comprehensive viewing of STPI’s Creative Workshop. Guided tours of the Gallery and Creative Workshop are conducted by our volunteer docents from Friends of the Museum.


Visitors can enjoy complimentary admission to our Annual Special Exhibition, Takashi Murakami: From Superflat to Bubblewrap during our Open House weekend.
