PRINT STUDIO MEMBERSHIP

Membership
Membership is open to all individuals whom:

• Complete an interview process, whereby on presentation of their portfolio of printmaking works, are deemed qualified to handle the presses.
• Undertake both a studio and Health and Safety induction session with a Studio Manager to ensure safe usage of equipment and materials. Inductions are held on the first Saturday of each month.
• For those that are new to the printmaking process or those that have not printed for some time, they have to enroll in a minimum of 3 STPI classes to learn how to use the studios. Competency assessment is then made by the Studio Manager.

Membership Benefits
The benefits of membership include:

• Access to the guest print studio for a fee.
• A 5% discount on STPI workshops & lectures.
• Invitations to events and exhibitions at STPI.
• Access to printmaking materials for a nominal fee.

Guest Workshop Access

•  Hours:  Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30 - 12.30 pm and 1.30 - 4.30 pm.
• Maximum number of people allowed to work in the studio at any time is 5.
• Members have to book in time with the Guest Workshop Manager and be aware that when there is an Artist in Residence or STPI classes, access to the studio will be limited.
• Booking of studio time must be paid for in full more than 2 days prior to session.
• A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel a session and to transfer your payment to another allocated time. If less than 48 hours notice is given, the member will be billed for the session regardless. This is to allow others to take advantage of the studio space, as places are limited.

Fees

• Membership compulsory per year: $120
• Half Day (3 hour session): $45
• Whole Day (6 hour session): $90
• Exclusive press rate (to book a press exclusively per day): $120
• Exclusive studio rate (to book the whole studio per day – 5 people max): $300

NB:         
All fees are inclusive of use of the presses, newsprint paper, solvents and rollers. The fee does not include papers, inks and other consumables – which are to be provided by the member accessing the guest workshop.
