Gallery interns have the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes experience with the daily activities of STPI gallery and help in the Marketing/Development and Education departments. Depending on gallery programmes, interns will get the chance to assist in the setup and/or deinstallation of our exhibitions and provide support and assistance in exhibition and gallery management.

Application Requirements

Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritise are essential to the position. Applicant also needs to have initiative and enjoy new challenges.

NB: A letter of recommendation should be written by someone in authority (a teacher, employer, advisor etc) on professional stationary). The letter should state: How long they have known the candidate, the relationship between them and what makes the candidate suitable for application for an Internship position at STPI. The letter should also outline the applicant's strengths, level of expertise and talents.

Selection Process

Once STPI have reviewed the applications, we will contact the selected candidates and arrange for an interview. This will be conducted either in person or by telephone - depending on the applicant's whereabouts. We will notify all successful applicants within a week of their interview.
