Trenton Doyle Hancock
“A Day Ahead A Head A Day”

One of the youngest artists ever included in the Whitney Museum of American Art Biennial exhibition in 2000 and 2002, Trenton Doyle Hancock is known for incorporating comic-book imagery and surreal themes into his satirical, intricate drawings and paintings. Hancock’s large scale paper works created at STPI continues the saga of the “Mounds” a group of mythical creatures who are tragic protagonists of the artist’s unfolding narrative.

Thukral and Tagra
“New Works by Thukral and Tagra”

Dynamic duo Thukral and Tagra break new artistic ground at STPI by programming computer technology in print works that animate vivid, graphic compositions. Thukral and Tagra are recognised for their whimsical visual portrayals of consumerism and contemporary lifestyles with innovative use of artistic mediums and fusion of Indian, Japanese and Western pop cultural references.

Jimmy Ong

Jimmy Ong, one of Singapore’s most sought after contemporary artists, continues his explorations of the human condition and relationships in works on paper. He derives influences from pop culture to Buddhism and explores complex themes of ancestry, sexuality and identity, visualised through unconventional and provocative compositions of human forms rendered in bold, calligraphic lines.
