	JULY
	Fri 9 May – Sat 16 Aug Henri Matisse The Master : Works from 1917 to 1952 Sat 19 Jul 10.30 – 11.30am Ukiyo-e Print Demonstration by Kitamura Shouichi and Eitaro Ogawa Japanese Master woodcarver Kitamura Shouichi and STPI Chief printer Eitaro Ogawa will demonstrate the beautiful art of Ukiyo-e printmaking. ($10 per person) Sat 19 Jul 2.30 – 3.30pm “Understanding Matisse” Lecture by Dr. Sian Jay Oxford educated anthropologist Dr. Sian Jay will discuss how Matisse developed his life’s work, and how printmaking was part of the French Master’s creative expression. ($10 per person) Sat 26 Jul 2.30 – 3.30pm “Portraiture in Society” Lecture by Dr. Sian Jay Dr. Sian Jay will talk about portraiture as part of western art forms and its role in society from the Renaissance onwards, and leading up to the prints of Matisse in the exhibition. ($10 per person)

	AUGUST
	Fri 9 May – Sat 16 Aug Henri Matisse The Master : Works from 1917 to 1952 Sat 30 Aug – 27 Sep Qiu Zhijie Qiu Zhijie explores the notion of nationhood, and of geopolitical and psychological attachments with Nanjing City, in over 40 stunning works created at STPI. Sat 2 Aug 2.30 – 3.30pm “Odalisques and Orientalism” Lecture by Dr. Sian Jay Odalisques were portrayed by many artists when Orientalism was the rage in Europe. Dr. Sian Jay will explain how odalisques became one of Matisse’s muses. ($10 per person) Sat 23 Aug 10.00am – 4.00pm Monoprint workshop by Marisa Keller Create monoprints using textures and layered collagraphs with Singapore-based Dutch artist and printmaker Marisa Keller. ($150 per person) Sat 30 Aug 2.30 – 3.30pm Artist Talk / Exhibition Talk

	SEPTEMBER
	Sat 30 Aug – 27 Sep Qiu Zhijie Sat 6 Sep 10.00am – 5.00pm Intaglio Printing by Tamae Iwasaki and Chong Li Sze Experience creating intaglio prints using multi-colour soft-ground etching with STPI printers Tamae Iwasaki and Chong Li Sze. ($150 per person) Sat 13 Sep 2.30 – 3.30pm “Mastering Art on Paper” Talk by Richard Hungerford STPI Master paper-maker Richard Hungerford will share his intimate experience on papermaking and producing fine artworks on paper. ($10 per person) Sats 20 & 27 Sep 10.00am – 5.00pm Stone Lithography by Eitaro Ogawa A rare opportunity to create your own lithographs using traditional stone lithography technique with STPI Chief printer Eitaro Ogawa. ($300 per person)

	OCTOBER
	Thu 9 Oct – Wed 29 Oct Josef Albers Hermès and STPI will co-present Josef Albers – Homage to the Square. This is in conjunction with the launch of Hermès first limited edition on silk, Homage au Carrè, faithful reproductions of six works from the historic series by Josef Albers. Sat 11 Oct 1.00 – 5.00 pm Collage & Print workshop by Kelly Reedy Be inspired to produce different combinations of prints on paper using linocuts and chine collè techniques with artist Kelly Reedy. ($100 per person) Sat 11 Oct 2.30 – 3.30pm Exhibition Walkthrough Sat 18 Oct 2.30 – 3.30pm “Professional Care for Fine Art Prints” Talk by Josephine Chang A qualified paper conservator, Josephine Chang manages STPI gallery and international programmes. In this talk, she will highlight the various care and preservation of fine art paper in particular to Singapore environmental conditions. ($10 per person)

	NOVEMBER – DECEMBER
	Sat 1 Nov 2.30 – 3.30pm “Appreciating and Collecting Contemporary Prints” Talk by Emi Eu Emi Eu heads STPI special projects and has a long association with art prints. Her talk will introduce the brief history of contemporary prints and the trend of print collections. ($10 per person) Sat 8 Nov – Sat 13 Dec Hema Upadhyay Hema Upadhyay constructs visual binaries of nature and culture, incorporating sculptural wood formations and fragmented metaphors, in works on paper created at STPI. Sat 8 Nov 2.30 – 3.30pm Artist Talk/Exhibition Walkthrough Sat 22 & 29 Nov 1.00 – 5.00pm & 10.00am – 5.00pm Screen Printing workshop by K C Poh Learn and enjoy screen printing your own colour creations on paper, T-shirts and other fabric with STPI Printer KC Poh. ($250 per person).

	STUDIO TUTORIALS
	Sats 26Jul, 30Aug & 25Oct 10am – 5pm Guest workshop available for independent printmaking with technician on duty ($100 per person; Minimum 3 persons)
